Brass Console Sinks

Our console sinks bring the detail of brass furniture to the washbasin. Beneath a broad glass rim, the curved bowl remains visible between slender legs, rails and decorative fittings. The basin is glass; the supporting structure is brass. This combination runs through the collection, while the metalwork gives each design its own character.

From floral ornament to a more restrained frame

In the Art Nouveau designs, leaves and scrolling stems extend across the open front, making the space between the legs part of the decoration. Other consoles concentrate their detail in turned uprights, shaped feet or classical capitals. The more restrained Art Deco frames leave longer, clearer lines around the bowl.

These differences matter when placing the console against a wall. A plain stone or plaster surface gives intricate metalwork room to stand out. Where the wall already has pronounced veining or pattern, a simpler frame leaves more of that surface visible. A decorated console can therefore belong in a contemporary bathroom without requiring an entire period interior.

Towel rails and open storage

The arrangement below the basin changes how the console is used as well as how it looks. Our selection includes two distinct approaches:

• Frames with a lower rack provide open storage for folded towels. The linen becomes part of the composition, so its colour and quantity affect how much of the brass detail remains visible.
• Frames without a lower rack leave a larger opening beneath the bowl, with the legs and horizontal rails defining the console. Separate storage can keep everyday supplies elsewhere.

Compare the position of the towel rails alongside this choice. A towel hanging over the front changes the view of the bowl and ornament; side rails, where present, offer a different arrangement. As with any open washstand, the wall finish and visible plumbing belong in the design from the outset.

Brass finishes around bronze-tinted glass

The glass retains its bronze colour as the metal finish changes. Antique Brass and Bronze Satin Brass bring warmer tones to the frame; Chrome Plated offers a cooler contrast, while 24K Gold Plated gives brighter reflections. The available finishes vary by model.
