Amalfi
Brass and glass, a shared character
Amalfi brings together the outline of metal and the volume of glass. Curved arms lead towards the light, while brass shades define the upper part of the fitting. Teardrop- and pinecone-shaped diffusers introduce softer contours, giving individual models their own expression within a shared design.
The maritime character comes through these structural details: the sweep of a support, the shape of a shade and the glass left visible beneath the metal. Against stone, plaster or timber, Amalfi can accompany rustic architecture or become a more distinctive detail on a simple surface.
A family across outdoor spaces
The different types carry that continuity through the areas around a home. Amalfi wall lights bring the design to the façade, where the arm and shade are also seen in profile. Beside an entrance or along a wall, they become part of the architectural composition.
Pendants move the fitting away from the wall and into the space beneath a porch or covered terrace. Chain-suspended versions add a different rhythm to the mounting, while garden post lights extend the same forms vertically and carry the family into the garden.
Coordinating a scheme need not mean repeating the same model everywhere: a wall light, pendant and post light can retain different roles and proportions, with curved brasswork and glass profiles connecting them. Our wider outdoor lighting collection offers other families and approaches to compare when planning the whole space.
Finishes and material combinations
Antique brass, matt satin bronze and dark bronze change how the structure stands out against its background. A finish can pick up the warm tones of masonry and timber or bring the silhouette into stronger relief against pale plaster.
The choice therefore involves the whole combination: the shape of the glass, the presence of metal and its relationship with the building’s materials. Amalfi also sits naturally alongside our rustic and industrial lamps, where other interpretations of brass can accompany the spaces within the home.
