Iside
A line around the glass
Iside draws a large curve around a smaller white globe. The brass frame encloses empty space as well as glass, making the outline expressive without turning it into a broad metal surface. Its appearance changes with the viewpoint: the teardrop is clear from the front and becomes a finer line as the fitting is seen more from the side.
The single pendant gives that motif one suspended position. Its globe sits towards the bottom of the frame, leaving generous space above it. In the multiple pendant, separate teardrops repeat along the composition. This can extend the design over a longer table while keeping the individual curves and the intervals between them visible.
The frame beside architecture and furniture
The wall light places the brass outline against the wall. A plain background makes its contour more distinct; a textured or coloured wall becomes part of the view through its open centre. At table height, Iside uses the loop differently, placing the globe nearer the top of its upright frame. The eye encounters the same material pairing in a changed balance.
The globe’s position within the curve gives each Iside its own composition. A room can therefore combine related fittings without using a smaller replica of the pendant at every point. Their shared outline brings coherence, while the different supports and positions keep each object individual.
Among our contemporary lighting, Iside offers an open, graphic detail that can accompany both straight furniture and softer forms. Leaving some clear background around the frame helps the brass curve remain visible within the room’s other materials.
