Figure and flower belong together
Putti brings small sculptural figures into the structure of the light. Dancing poses, curved brass supports and glass flowers give the family its animated character. The subject develops through chandeliers, a ceiling fitting, a wall light and a table lamp: sometimes a figure stands clearly on its own, elsewhere figures and flowers form a circle around the centre.
The materials give the scene different kinds of detail. The brass can hold the small features of the figure and the worked outline of the attachment; the broader petals introduce an uninterrupted pale surface. Seen together, the glass does not merely sit above the ornament. Its scale and position give the figure something to accompany, and make the pose intelligible.
Different settings for the figure
The wall light sets a figure between its radiating attachment and a frosted glass flower. At table level, a dancing putto becomes the centre of the lamp, with the base giving the scene a place among the furnishings. These smaller compositions invite a close view of the pose and its relationship with the glass, beside a cabinet or within a sitting room.
The ceiling fitting brings the motif closer to the ceiling, gathering putti and petal-shaped glass in a more compact arrangement than a hanging chandelier. Within our interior lighting, Putti offers a deliberately figurative choice: the character comes from recognisable bodies and blooms, rather than from abstract curves alone.
From a figure to a fuller composition
The Putti chandeliers gather figures and glass flowers around a centre. Repetition changes the experience: the eye moves from one figure and bloom to another, rather than staying with the single scene of a wall light. Curved supports connect these separate moments into a larger ornamental arrangement.
The expressive subject is the relationship, not the figure alone. This is what gives the family more interest than an applied motif. Whether encountered beside a piece of furniture or overhead in a fuller composition, the pose and the flower remain the details that make Putti recognisable.
