Rustic & Industrial Lamps in Brass
Rustic & Industrial Lamps in Brass
Metal pendants, ceramic shades and brass lanterns
Our rustic and industrial collection brings together metal-shaded pendants, brass-and-glass lanterns and more decorative lamps with ceramic or textile shades. At Ghidini 1849, we bring our family company’s brass expertise and Italian artisanal production to these different designs.
Country, industrial and nautical: three ways to use brass
These styles share a material, while giving different parts of the lamp a leading role. The distinction helps explain why a broad metal pendant, a ceramic-shaded wall light and a glass lantern can belong to the same collection.
- Country decoration: curved arms, floral details and pierced white ceramic introduce more ornament. Against a plain wall, the decorated arm and shade have room to stand out; beside patterned textiles or carved timber, they join a richer composition.
- Industrial forms: metal shades, exposed joints, pulleys and counterweights make the lamp's assembly part of its character.
- Nautical forms: glass enclosures, brass frames and cages draw on the appearance of harbour lanterns.
From the dining table to the rest of the room
Our chandeliers and pendant lights include single suspensions and several shades arranged along a bar. A multi-shade bar creates one composition above a long table; separate pendants establish a repeated rhythm. On selected pulley models, height adjustment offers another way to set the relationship between the shade and the tabletop.
Wall lights, ceiling fittings, table lamps and floor lamps extend the choice beyond the central suspension. On selected wall and floor designs, articulated arms or sliding mechanisms let the shade move in relation to the support. This gives more flexibility beside a chair or over a surface than a fixed lantern, whose position is set by its mounting.
Nautical character, indoors and outdoors
Our nautical designs include interior pendants and lamps as well as selected fittings in the outdoor lighting collection. Nautical style alone does not determine outdoor suitability: this depends on the chosen model’s protection rating and installation requirements.
The finish completes the design
Antique Brass gives many of our rustic lamps darker, varied tones; selected designs also offer bronzed, polished or black finishes. Polished brass produces more noticeable reflections, while a darker surface can make the outline of a shade or arm more prominent.
A common brass finish can connect a metal pendant, a glass lantern and a lamp with a ceramic or fabric shade, without repeating an identical fitting. Our finishes guide presents their appearance and care, with the available options shown on each model.
