Ceramic and brass, from simple supports to decorative frames

White ceramic gives our soap dishes and dispensers a common starting point; the brass around it changes their character. A plain ring and geometric base keep the assembly restrained. A twisted arm, leafy ornament or a radiating rosette gives the support a more decorative role. This breadth is part of Ghidini 1849’s Italian-made bathroom collection: the same everyday functions can belong to a quiet contemporary interior or a room with richer classical detail.

The choice also changes the relationship with the washbasin. A low soap dish sits close to the surface, while a dispenser introduces an upright container and pump. The ceramic container can stay visually simple while the support supplies the ornament. This is particularly useful beside patterned stone or decorative taps, where another elaborate shape would make the washing area busier.

Wall-mounted or freestanding

Wall-mounted models establish a fixed position beside the basin and leave its surrounding surface available. Their projection and the space needed to reach the soap or operate the pump matter alongside the shape of the wall plate. In an existing bathroom, that position also needs to work with the mirror, taps and wall finish.

Freestanding designs can be repositioned with the objects on the vanity. Allow for the full brass structure, including the base and any projecting ornament, as well as the ceramic container. A decorated arm can extend beyond a compact base; a simple cylindrical dispenser makes a different demand on the same surface.

Separate pieces or a combined set

Finishes that connect the bathroom

Antique Brass, Bronze Satin Brass, Chrome Plated and 24K Gold Plated finishes are available across selected models. Their colour and sheen change how the brass relates to white ceramic, taps and nearby fittings; availability varies by design. Choose the model and its finish together, then continue through our bathroom accessories and consoles to build a coherent arrangement.

Care should follow the instructions for the chosen finish. A product intended for one brass surface may be unsuitable for a plated or otherwise treated one, so a single metal-polishing routine cannot serve the whole collection.
